When I saw the “Parade gegen Pelz“, a rally against fur, organized online by Vier Pfoten, I was immediately amazed by its beauty and wit. Vier Pfoten (Four Paws (?)) is an international NGO working on animal rights and conservation, seeking to change consumer behavior.

Ever since I moved to Tarlabasi, the welder and me had a special “hi there”-relationship – we always nodded in greeting, but hardly talked a word.

The first few days here in Bangkok we spend mostly setting up our new lives here, shopping for basics, trying to fix local phone numbers, getting discount cards at the Skytrain and just finding our way around the house and the new neighborhood.

Just when leaving, things got really busy in Istanbul – not even to mention, what is going in other parts of Turkey. While Gezi Park in Istanbul is now largely peaceful, dancing and singing, police is still using excessive violence in Ankara and other places.
