Ever since I moved to Tarlabasi, the welder and me had a special “hi there”-relationship – we always nodded in greeting, but hardly talked a word.
Aziz sits on the top end of Ömer Hayam, every day. He says he has been here since 35 years – in summer and winter. However, he always smiles when he sees us in the morning and nods his silent greetings.
A few days later I just took this picture with my phone, because I liked the perspective, the shape of the book – the dictionary just happened to be on the page with the letter “Ö”. A difficult letter for many, not so for Germans and very very common in the Turkish language. However, in Read on! →
